Traditional Worship

We offer two traditional services at 8:00 am (Historic Sanctuary) and 11:00 am (Main Sanctuary), featuring traditional hymns accompanied by piano and organ. Childcare is available during the 11:00 am service. If you have children with you, Sunday School check-in is located at the front of the Main Sanctuary, near the First Methodist Family Ministry banner. Learn more about our Children's Ministry here!

Contemporary Worship

Our Contemporary worship service is held in the Main Sanctuary at 9:30 am, led by our Praise Band. This service features modern worship music with an upbeat atmosphere, including lights, drums, and guitars. If you have children with you, Sunday School check-in is located at the front of the Main Sanctuary, near the First Methodist Family Ministry banner. Learn more about our Children's Ministry here!

  • First Methodist Church of Oviedo is located at 263 King Street, Oviedo, FL 32765. If you’d like to get a feel for our church before attending in person, you can also join us for worship via live stream.

  • We love having children in our sanctuary during worship! If your child needs to release some energy, our Wiggle Room, located at the back of the main sanctuary, offers a fantastic space with a view of the service and plenty of fun activities for kids. It’s available for parents who feel their children might need a little extra engagement while attending worship.

  • On Sunday mornings, children will be checked in at the front of the Main Sanctuary, near the First Methodist Family Ministry banner.

    Childcare is offered during our 9:30 & 11:00 am services.

  • Each weekend our worship services are a little bit different, we have a style of worship for everyone! So you can pick the time and service that works best for you.

    Each weekend we focus our worship on glorifying God and praising Him for who He is. The preaching is biblical, practical, and inspirational. The music at each service varies but all is done to honor our Lord.

    One of the blessings of being a part of First Methodist Church of Oviedo is that you ARE a part of the first church ever to worship in Oviedo. And we build on that history by continuing to grow through new ways to be a part of the community.

  • We encourage you to wear what you are comfortable in! You’ll see a people wearing a variety of clothing and everyone is welcome to come as they are. Most people are dressed in business casual attire.

  • Our main parking lot is located on the west side of the Main Sanctuary on King Street, with designated handicap parking and visitor spaces. Overflow parking is available in the dirt field between the parking lot and the baseball field. Senior parking is provided on the street in front of both sanctuary buildings. Additional parking is available across the street from the Historic Sanctuary. Use this map to help you find the most convenient lot.
