The Way of the Cross -- A self-guided tour of Jesus’ journey to the cross, including his trial, crucifixion, and burial. A time for prayer and reflection.

Easter Egg Hunt 2025
Our Easter Egg Hunt will be Wednesday, April 16th. We will have pizza, bounce houses, crafts and egg hunts broken down into age groups. We will utilize the gym, portico, and playground.
Our Children's Ministry team will cover these areas and activities. We are collecting pre-filled eggs that are filled with trinkets and non-food items (the ants are relentless). We will have pre filled goody bags with candy to give to children.

Residing Hope Children's Home Game Night
We are looking for volunteers to help serve dinner and play games with the children at Residing Hope from 5:15-7:00. If you would like to participate, please contact Nancy Pandolph at npandolph@yahoo.com.

Maundy Thursday Service
Join us for a meaningful evening of reflection as we observe Maundy Thursday, the night of the Last Supper. This sacred service will offer an opportunity for prayer, meditation, and a deeper connection to the events that led to Christ’s sacrifice. All are welcome to participate in this powerful moment of worship in our historic sanctuary.
Children’s programming and nursery care will be provided!

OURM Foot Washing 2025
Once again, our church is helping to provide the Orlando Union Rescue Mission with 1,000 pair of new athletic shoes for men, women and children (all sizes). Please bring in a new pair of sneakers (you can include socks, too) to the church by March 30th.

On Good Friday (April 18), we will help with OURM's Banquet and Foot Washing event. Volunteers please arrive at First Methodist Church at 8:15 AM to ensure we arrive at OURM on time!

Good Friday Service
Join us for The Cross & The Crown, an immersive Good Friday service that will guide you through the powerful events of this solemn day. The service begins promptly at 7:00 PM in the Main Sanctuary, so please arrive early to secure your seat.
Through scripture and unique elements, this service invites you to reflect on the profound sacrifice of Christ. Experience the depth of Good Friday’s significance as we come together to remember the cross and prepare our hearts for the resurrection.
Children’s programming and nursery care will be provided!

Palm Valley Workday
Join us for a Church Work Day in Palm Valley. Many of the residents in Palm Valley are physically unable to do repairs and landscaping for their yards. Most are on fixed incomes and cannot hire outside help. That's where we come in! We will be doing landscaping, gutter cleaning, and pressure washing. Everyone should bring gloves and the following if you can: landscaping tools (rakes, weed eaters, edgers), pressure washers, hoses, ladders (8-feet or higher), and black contractor trash bags. Volunteers should meet at the Clubhouse at 8:45 AM.

Saturday Vigil
Join us for a peaceful Prayer Vigil in the Historic Sanctuary, where you can engage in a self-guided, visual reflection and partake in open communion. This time of quiet prayer and contemplation offers a space for you to connect deeply in faith. Come and experience this sacred opportunity for reflection and communion.

Easter Sunrise Service
Celebrate the resurrection with us at our Easter Sunrise Service! Join us at 6:45 AM in the church Portico (sanctuary pull-through) for a meaningful, casual style of worship as we come together to rejoice in the risen Christ. This service offers a peaceful and uplifting start to Easter Sunday. We look forward to celebrating with you!

Daybreak Easter Service
Join us in the Historic Sanctuary at 8:00 AM for the Daybreak Easter Service, a celebration of the resurrection! This service will feature a more traditional style of worship, offering a reverent and uplifting way to begin your Easter Sunday. We look forward to celebrating the joy of Christ’s resurrection with you!

Contemporary Easter Service
Celebrate the resurrection with us at the Contemporary Easter Service in the Main Sanctuary at 9:30 AM. This service will feature a more modern style of worship, with vibrant music and a fresh approach to celebrating Easter. We look forward to worshiping together and rejoicing in the resurrection of Christ!

Traditional Easter Service
Join us for the Traditional Easter Service in the Main Sanctuary at 11:00 AM as we come together to celebrate the resurrection of Christ. This service will feature a more traditional style of worship, including hymns and timeless liturgy. We look forward to sharing in this sacred celebration with you!

VBS 2025
Get ready for an unforgettable week of fun, learning, and spiritual growth at GO! VBS 2025! This year, we're diving deep into the power of the Holy Spirit and how it empowers us to live boldly in faith.
What to Expect:
Exciting Bible lessons that inspire and teach about God's love and power.
Fun activities and games that reinforce the message of the week.
Worship and prayer to connect with God in a meaningful way.
A chance to make lifelong friendships and create lasting memories.
This event is open to children of all ages, and we’re also inviting students (grades 6-12) and adults to volunteer and be part of the action. It’s a great way to serve and make a difference in the lives of our kids!

Children's Summer Camp (Week 1)
First Up Camp 1 (July 7-11) will have different themed days! During these days, children will create, explore, experiment, and make friendships! All campers must be fully potty-trained to attend! Cost per child is $150 for the week

Young at Heart Luncheon - April
If you are “young at heart,” you are in for a great time of fellowship, delicious food and an interesting program the 2nd Thursday of the month.

A called Charge Conference will be held on Monday, March 24, at 7PM in Fellowship Hall in conjunction with the March meeting of the Church Council. Any adjustment in Pastors' compensation must be approved by a Charge Conference, therefore, the purpose of the Charge Conference is to address Pastor housing allowance adjustments.
