Daily Advent Reading
This is our Digital Advent Calendar for 2023. We would hope you could join in daily during the season of Advent. Every day’s Advent Gift box will have a new Scripture to read and reflect on. Every Thursday there will be a Children’s Ministry Activity for you and your children. Every Tuesday there will be a question for adults to enjoy and engage on our Facebook page.
Revelation 22:16-17
16 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.”
17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.
Devotional
In the midst of uncertain and unprecedented times, people are looking for hope. Joyfully, many people are seeking hope, comfort, and purpose in the pages of scripture. I think that one great place to look is in the last chapter of the last book of the Bible.
As the biblical book of Revelation draws to a close, we find that there is good news to all those who trust in Jesus as Savior and Lord. Revelation is filled with somewhat scary images as it talks about a season when things were not going well for the saints. The call for them, though, is hold to their faith. That message is that God will remember them.
In this season of Advent we can remind ourselves and others, we can continually ask God to come. We can trust that God has not forgotten us. Let’s get ready in our thirst to taste the water of life.
