Most are on fixed incomes and cannot hire outside help. That's where we come in! We will be doing landscaping, gutter cleaning, and pressure washing. Everyone should bring gloves and the following if you can: landscaping tools (rakes, weed eaters, edgers), pressure washers, hoses, ladders (8-feet or higher), and black contractor trash bags. Volunteers should meet at the Clubhouse at 8:45 AM.

Once again, our church is helping to provide the Orlando Union Rescue Mission with 1,000 pair of new athletic shoes for men, women and children (all sizes). Please bring in a new pair of sneakers (you can include socks, too) to the church by March 28.

2nd Annual Community Unity Worship Service on Sunday, February 25th at 3:00 pm at Grant Chapel A.M.E. Church.  Join community pastors (including our own Pastor Brian) and area churches in worshipping God together.

We are looking for Ushers, Greeters and Parking Lot Attendants for both services on Christmas Eve. If you would like to spread extra joy by handing out candles or bulletins to guests coming to our services, or assist with directing parking.

Each year, First Church provides a staging area for Hope Helps for collecting gifts, hygiene products, socks, underwear, diapers, pull-ups and holiday food items for families in our community who are in need. You can help by donating any of these items (monetary donations are also accepted) and/or volunteering to help with sorting and organizing the donated items.

Each year the church provides parking for the annual Great Day in the Country event as a special fundraiser. We are in need of lots of volunteers to help direct traffic and/or collect donations for parking. We will have the following shifts: 7-9AM (8-10 people), 9-10:30AM (6-8 people); 10:30-Noon (4-6 people); Noon-2PM (2-4 people). The Florida United Methodist Children's Home's mission is to empower children and families to experience God's love and care as revealed in the ministry of Jesus Christ. During the months that we have a fifth Sunday, you will find a special offering envelope at each entrance specifically designated for the Children’s Home. Please join us in continuing our support of this wonderful ministry!

We will be hosting a fun station for the Orlando Union Rescue Mission’s Fall Festival!

We are making candy apples and will have one or two easy carnival games for the children. The event begins at 6:30 PM and ends at 8:30 PM. O.U.R.M. will provide tables, but we will provide the food and decorations. We will meet at the church at 5:00 PM and will carpool over. We are looking for 10 volunteers.

A night of fun, food, fellowship, testimony, and worship. Worship will be led by the International Solid Rock Prison Ministry (www.internationalsolidrock.org). Many of the band members are members of the Blues Hall of Fame so lots of great music to be enjoyed. Guest Speaker: President/Co-founder, Tony Loeffler. In addition, guests from the Orlando Union Rescue Mission will also be joining us!
