Serve at the Orlando Union Rescue Mission

We have a wonderful opportunity to show Christ’s love in a practical way by serving dinner to the men at the Orlando Union Rescue Mission. We go every month, but volunteers are welcome to serve as often as their schedule allows—you don’t have to commit to every month. We are looking for volunteers to help with two important roles:

Serving dinner – helping prepare and serve the evening meal.

Connecting with the men – sitting down, listening, and offering encouragement and fellowship.

Your presence can make a real difference! Whether through a warm meal or a kind conversation, you can help shine the light of Jesus in someone’s life.

When: 3rd Thursdays, monthly

Most are on fixed incomes and cannot hire outside help. That's where we come in! We will be doing landscaping, gutter cleaning, and pressure washing. Everyone should bring gloves and the following if you can: landscaping tools (rakes, weed eaters, edgers), pressure washers, hoses, ladders (8-feet or higher), and black contractor trash bags. Volunteers should meet at the Clubhouse at 8:45 AM.

Once again, our church is helping to provide the Orlando Union Rescue Mission with 1,000 pair of new athletic shoes for men, women and children (all sizes). Please bring in a new pair of sneakers (you can include socks, too) to the church by March 30th.

RESIDING HOPE

We need volunteers for an upcoming Valentine's Day party on Feb. 14! Volunteers would need to arrive at Residing Hope at 4:00 to serve food at 5:00.

Each year the church provides parking for the annual Great Day in the Country event as a special fundraiser. We are in need of lots of volunteers to help direct traffic and/or collect donations for parking. All proceeds will go to our church missions.
