OURM Foot Washing & Shoe Drive

Once again, our church is helping to provide the Orlando Union Rescue Mission with 1,000 pair of new athletic shoes for men, women and children (all sizes). Please bring in a new pair of sneakers (you can include socks, too) to the church by March 28.

Maundy Thursday Seder Meal

First Methodist Oviedo and other churches in the area will be hosting a Seder Meal on Thursday, March 28 from 6 to 8pm. Hagerty Culinary will be catering this event, it will be a family styled dinner. Join us and experience an authentic Jewish Passover Seder.

The cost will be $10 per person (11 and older), and $5 per person (4 to 10 yrs old).

Registration will be open until Monday, March 25.

Community Youth Worship Night

Our youth group is having a special worship night for students in the Oviedo area on Sunday, March 17th at 6 PM. We would love if you and your churches youth group would join us for this amazing event. Experience the warmth of community, hear uplifting worship music, and find encouragement in the company of fellow believers. Join us at First Methodist Church of Oviedo at 6 PM. We can’t wait to worship together!

Family Christmas Eve Service

Please join us as we celebrate our Savior's birth on Christmas Eve with a magical and spirit filled service.

Our 5pm Service is a family service led by the pastors and children’s ministry staff. There will be traditional Christmas scripture readings and music, a Christmas message from the pastor. Please arrive early to get a good seat, as the sanctuary will be filled to capacity.

Christmas Cantata & Orchestral Concert

First Church Oviedo is putting together an amazing Christmas cantata and orchestral program on Sunday, December 17 at 5 PM, called “Night of Miracles.”

Decorate the Church

Please join us on Sunday, November 26, as we decorate our beautiful church facilities for the holidays. We are breaking the festivities into “shifts” following each worship service. The first shift will be at 9:00 AM, where we will meet in Fellowship Hall for coffee and donuts. The next shift will be at 10:30 AM, and we will finish things up at Noon, following the 11 AM service. There will be many opportunities to serve regardless of your age or physical capability. Let’s celebrate Jesus!

Great Day in the Country Parking Fundraiser

Great Day in the Country Parking Fundraiser

Each year the church provides parking for the annual Great Day in the Country event as a special fundraiser. We are in need of lots of volunteers to help direct traffic and/or collect donations for parking. We will have the following shifts: 7-9AM (8-10 people), 9-10:30AM (6-8 people); 10:30-Noon (4-6 people); Noon-2PM (2-4 people). Please contact Melody Boyington or the church office if you can lend a hand.

Veteran’s Day Luncheon

The Military Support Team’s annual Veterans Day Luncheon will be on Friday, November 10, at Noon in the Fellowship Hall. This is a community event so please invite your Veteran friends and neighbors. The meal will be catered by Mission BBQ.

We are looking for Ushers, Greeters and Parking Lot Attendants for both services on Christmas Eve. Blue Christmas Service

The Christmas holidays are not always bright and cheery for everyone. Especially for those who have experienced the death of a loved one, a divorce or separation, cancer or illness, the loss of a job, or other situations that may create sadness or loneliness. Come to our Blue Christmas Service that will be held on December 18 at 7 PM in the Historic Sanctuary, and celebrate the real promise of the season and be uplifted by the Light of Christ. We will have music, scripture, readings, and the assurance of God's grace.
