Christmas Musical Rehearsal
“Hi Worship team. I look forward to meeting all of you. I wanted to personally invite you to sing with the choir for the Christmas musical. We will begin rehearsing the musical this coming Thursday night (September 11th- December 4th).
We’ll begin the first half hour, from 6:45 to 7:15 with only the Christmas music, then you can scoot out if you would like. This will be our procedure for every rehearsal.
We will also have a rehearsal on Saturday, September 27, from 10:00 to 12:00 which we will devote solely to the musical. I think you’ll enjoy the music. Hope to see you all soon.” - Tim (Choir Director)
The musical is called “A New and Glorious Morn”

The dates of the musical will be Dec. 7 at the 9:30 and 11:00 services.

Pumpkin Unloading
🚜🎃 Pumpkins are coming! We need your help unloading and setting up the patch on October 11 at 2 PM. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, and bring with you a water bottle and your muscles!!!
Pumpkin Patch Volunteer Signup
The Patch runs smoothly thanks to our dedicated volunteers who come together to serve and extend the radical hospitality of First Methodist Church of Oviedo. If you’d like to volunteer in the Patch, register on our signup link here
The Patch is open from 3-5pm, 5-7pm during the weekdays, and from 12-8pm on weekends. Shifts are 2 hours, and families with children are welcome to sign up. We already have some youth volunteers signed up, we need the adults to be there to supervise!
REMEMBER: Proceeds from the patch go towards our Youth!!!
Veteran's Day Luncheon - Military Support Team
Join us for a luncheon hosted by our Military Support Team to honor our Veteran’s on Veteran’s Day. Lunch will begin at 12pm, and will be catered by Mission BBQ.

First Church Super Bowl Tailgate
Come join us in the Fellowship Hall for a pre-game Super Bowl Tailgate party. Hot dogs, hamburgers, drinks and snacks will be provided. There will be tailgate type activities for everyone to play.

He is from the stage of the Grand Ole Opry and has performed all over the world with big names such as Bob Hope, Charley Pride, Dolly Parton, Roy Orbison and Jimmy Dean to name a few. He has performed nationally as a tenor with the Gospel Music Hall of Fame.

This nation-wide event returns to our Oviedo Cemetery on Saturday, December 16th. Please join us for this moving ceremony placing wreaths on the gravesites of military veterans.
