Membership Sunday
Join us on September 8th to welcome all of our new members into the First Methodist Family. The reception for new members will take place during both the 9:30 & 11 AM services.
Traditional Easter Service
Join us in the Main Sanctuary for a celebration of the resurrection!
This service will consist of a more traditional style of worship.
Contemporary Easter Service
Join us in the Main Sanctuary for a celebration of the resurrection!
This service will consist of a more modern style of worship.
Daybreak Easter Service
Join us in the Historic Sanctuary for a celebration of the resurrection!
This service will consist of a more traditional style of worship.
Easter Sunrise Service
Join us in the Historic Sanctuary for a celebration of the resurrection!
This service will consist of a more casual style of worship.
Good Friday
This years Good Friday Service will be held on March 29th at 6:30 pm. We hope you will join us!
Palm Sunday
Our Chancel Choir will perform at the 11 AM service.
Children are invited to wave palm branches during the Palm Sunday Processional at the 9:30 AM service.
To participate, please meet in the Narthex (Main Lobby) before service. Those in the Children’s Choir will remain at the Altar to sing before returning to Sunday School.
Community Youth Worship Night
Our youth group is having a special worship night for students in the Oviedo area on Sunday, March 17th at 6 PM. We would love if you and your churches youth group would join us for this amazing event. Experience the warmth of community, hear uplifting worship music, and find encouragement in the company of fellow believers. Join us at First Methodist Church of Oviedo at 6 PM. We can’t wait to worship together!

2nd Annual Community Unity Worship Service
2nd Annual Community Unity Worship Service on Sunday, February 25th at 3:00 pm at Grant Chapel A.M.E. Church. Join community pastors (including our own Pastor Brian) and area churches in worshipping God together.
Ash Wednesday Service
Ash Wednesday Service will be February 14th at 6:30 PM in the Main Sanctuary. The Children will have their normal programming, with ashes that have been blessed and a focus on Ash Wednesday. There will not be Youth Bible Study.
No Saturday Evening Service
Since both of our Pastors will be in Clermont for the Conference, there will be no Saturday evening service on January 20th.

CHRISTMAS EVE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
We are looking for Ushers, Greeters and Parking Lot Attendants for both services on Christmas Eve. If you would like to spread extra joy by handing out candles or bulletins to guests coming to our services, or assist with directing parking.

Christmas Cantata & Orchestral Concert
First Church Oviedo is putting together an amazing Christmas cantata and orchestral program on Sunday, December 17 at 5 PM, called “Night of Miracles.”
We’re recruiting all of our skilled musical community to join and contribute their talents to this amazing concert. So if that’s you or some of your friends and family, have them reach out to our Director of Traditional Worship, Assel Jean-Pierre.

Homecoming Sunday
Come celebrate 150 years at First Church Oviedo! We will have one combined service at 10 AM, followed by a potluck dinner on the grounds. Please bring a favorite dish to share!
International Solid Rock Worship Night
A night of fun, food, fellowship, testimony, and worship. Worship will be led by the International Solid Rock Prison Ministry (www.internationalsolidrock.org). Many of the band members are members of the Blues Hall of Fame so lots of great music to be enjoyed. Guest Speaker: President/Co-founder, Tony Loeffler. In addition, guests from the Orlando Union Rescue Mission will also be joining us!

Baptism Sunday
On Pentecost Sunday (May 28), we will be celebrating baptisms and renewal of baptisms during our worship services. If you would like to participate in this special ceremony by immersion or sprinkling, please contact the church office to set up an appointment with one of the pastors.
Spring Concert: A Family Celebration
Join us on Sunday, May 21 at 5 PM for an afternoon of beautiful music featuring Pastor Patina, Shawna Herrington, Assel Jean-Pierre, and other guest musicians. The music will be a blend of original songs and classic favorites.
FREE admission; open to the public.
Graduation Recognition Sunday
If you or someone in your family are graduating, please contact the church office at admin@fumco.net or 407-365-3255 to let them know (a) the name of the graduate, and (b) the school/college they are graduating from. If a graduate attends one of the services that weekend, we would love to have them stand up for special recognition.
