Join us for a night of worship, prayer and healing! Bring your joy, troubles, burdens, and praise as we join together as one body and one voice to worship our Lord.

Palm Sunday Service
Join us for a Traditional Worship Service at 8:00 AM in the Historic Sanctuary. This service will offer a reverent and meaningful start to your Holy Week journey with traditional hymns, prayers, and scripture readings.
As part of the Holy Week observance, a daily reflection will be available, offering a prayer, scripture reading, and reflective questions for each day. These reflections will be distributed on Palm Sunday and can also be downloaded, allowing you to participate in the spiritual journey at your own pace throughout the week.
We invite you to experience this time of worship and reflection as we move through the sacred days leading up to Easter.

Join us for a special Cantata in the Main Sanctuary at 9:30 AM, where children will process in with palm branches, symbolizing the start of Holy Week. This meaningful service will set the tone for the spiritual journey of the week, leading into reflection and celebration.

Maundy Thursday Service
Join us for a meaningful evening of reflection as we observe Maundy Thursday, the night of the Last Supper. This sacred service will offer an opportunity for prayer, meditation, and a deeper connection to the events that led to Christ’s sacrifice. All are welcome to participate in this powerful moment of worship in our historic sanctuary.

Good Friday Service
Join us for The Cross & The Crown, an immersive Good Friday service that will guide you through the powerful events of this solemn day. The service begins promptly at 7:00 PM in the Main Sanctuary, so please arrive early to secure your seat.
Through scripture and unique elements, this service invites you to reflect on the profound sacrifice of Christ. Experience the depth of Good Friday’s significance as we come together to remember the cross and prepare our hearts for the resurrection.

Saturday Vigil
Join us for a peaceful Prayer Vigil in the Historic Sanctuary, where you can engage in a self-guided, visual reflection and partake in open communion. This time of quiet prayer and contemplation offers a space for you to connect deeply in faith. Come and experience this sacred opportunity for reflection and communion.

Easter Sunrise Service
Celebrate the resurrection with us at our Easter Sunrise Service! Join us at 6:45 AM in the church Portico (sanctuary pull-through) for a meaningful, casual style of worship as we come together to rejoice in the risen Christ. This service offers a peaceful and uplifting start to Easter Sunday. We look forward to celebrating with you!

Daybreak Easter Service
Join us in the Historic Sanctuary at 8:00 AM for the Daybreak Easter Service, a celebration of the resurrection! This service will feature a more traditional style of worship, offering a reverent and uplifting way to begin your Easter Sunday. We look forward to celebrating the joy of Christ’s resurrection with you!

Contemporary Easter Service
Celebrate the resurrection with us at the Contemporary Easter Service in the Main Sanctuary at 9:30 AM. This service will feature a more modern style of worship, with vibrant music and a fresh approach to celebrating Easter. We look forward to worshiping together and rejoicing in the resurrection of Christ!

Traditional Easter Service
Join us for the Traditional Easter Service in the Main Sanctuary at 11:00 AM as we come together to celebrate the resurrection of Christ. This service will feature a more traditional style of worship, including hymns and timeless liturgy. We look forward to sharing in this sacred celebration with you!
Maundy Thursday Service
Join us on Maundy Thursday, April 17 for a meaningful Reflection on the Last Supper at 7:00 PM in the Historic Sanctuary. This service will offer a time to reflect on the significance of the Last Supper, the moments of Jesus' teachings, and the institution of communion. Come as we gather to remember this pivotal moment in Christ's journey.

Ash Wednesday Service
Join us this Ash Wednesday at 6:30 PM as we begin our Lenten journey with a service of reflection, repentance, and renewal. May this time of prayer and reflection prepare our hearts for the season ahead.

Community Unity Worship Service

Good Friday
This years Good Friday Service will be held on March 29th at 6:30 pm. We hope you will join us!

Palm Sunday
Our Chancel Choir will perform at the 11 AM service.
Children are invited to wave palm branches during the Palm Sunday Processional at the 9:30 AM service.
To participate, please meet in the Narthex (Main Lobby) before service. Those in the Children’s Choir will remain at the Altar to sing before returning to Sunday School.

Community Youth Worship Night
Our youth group is having a special worship night for students in the Oviedo area on Sunday, March 17th at 6 PM. We would love if you and your churches youth group would join us for this amazing event. Experience the warmth of community, hear uplifting worship music, and find encouragement in the company of fellow believers. Join us at First Methodist Church of Oviedo at 6 PM. We can’t wait to worship together!

2nd Annual Community Unity Worship Service
2nd Annual Community Unity Worship Service on Sunday, February 25th at 3:00 pm at Grant Chapel A.M.E. Church. Join community pastors (including our own Pastor Brian) and area churches in worshipping God together.

Ash Wednesday Service
Ash Wednesday Service will be February 14th at 6:30 PM in the Main Sanctuary. The Children will have their normal programming, with ashes that have been blessed and a focus on Ash Wednesday. There will not be Youth Bible Study.

No Saturday Evening Service
Since both of our Pastors will be in Clermont for the Conference, there will be no Saturday evening service on January 20th.

Traditional Christmas Eve Service
Please join us for a beautiful evening of candlelight services welcoming our Savior Jesus!
Please arrive early to get a good seat, as the sanctuary will be filled to capacity.

Family Christmas Eve Service
Please join us as we celebrate our Savior's birth on Christmas Eve with a magical and spirit filled service.
Our 5pm Service is a family service led by the pastors and children’s ministry staff. There will be traditional Christmas scripture readings and music, a Christmas message from the pastor. Please arrive early to get a good seat, as the sanctuary will be filled to capacity.

CHRISTMAS EVE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
We are looking for Ushers, Greeters and Parking Lot Attendants for both services on Christmas Eve. If you would like to spread extra joy by handing out candles or bulletins to guests coming to our services, or assist with directing parking.

Christmas Cantata & Orchestral Concert
First Church Oviedo is putting together an amazing Christmas cantata and orchestral program on Sunday, December 17 at 5 PM, called “Night of Miracles.”
We’re recruiting all of our skilled musical community to join and contribute their talents to this amazing concert. So if that’s you or some of your friends and family, have them reach out to our Director of Traditional Worship, Assel Jean-Pierre.
